Food Studies 7/8/9

Fee: $25 (per term)

Students will participate in a broad range of labs and explorations to develop greater understanding of a variety of cuisines and the nutritional implications of meal plans and eating patterns. Students will also develop an understanding of basic baking by combining ingredients in a variety of ways.

Through active participation in cooking labs, students will be expected to demonstrate the knowledge and concepts taught through instruction, demonstration and written work. Students will learn to bake a variety of delicious cookies, quick breads and cakes as well as try their hand at some decorating techniques.
